It all started with a dream in the early hours of Easter morning: – a children’s tea party for the Ukrainian children living in Richmond and their parents.

We wanted to do something in celebration of the brave and courageous children living locally, who had experienced much upheaval and disruption in their little lives.

When Sam Trinder of the Bingham Riverhouse heard about our idea, she immediately offered to host the tea party in the beautiful grounds of the hotel.  Hurrah!

With a stunning venue in hand, we began to plan an afternoon of games, activities and delicious food…and so began the most magnificent of community collaborations.

It was an honour to serve the Ukrainian children, their parents and guardians to a wonderful afternoon tea party on Sunday 12th June 2022.

“I am honestly so grateful for you to organise such a magnificent event for Ukrainian children . This is exactly what we need right now!” – Eva, guest.

We are so grateful to Samantha and staff at the Bingham Riverhouse, for opening their doors – and hearts – in welcoming and celebrating the newest arrivals to our local community.

Thank you to each and every person and business who partnered with us – you fulfilled a dream!
